For mobile use the old Peavey Solo battery powered amp (not the similarly named guitar practise amp) is good. Its a mini PA with an 8" speaker. I've owned three over the years. Can be found on eBay for under £60. For heavier mobile(ish) use I swear by the Yamaha Stagepas.
