I had one for a while to test it and write a review (for a Swedish
paper magazine) and my impression is that it sounds really good on
guitar. Digitech's patented method “Component-Based Modeling” is to be
thanked for that. A very dynamic guitar sound that answers well to the
dynamics in your playing. With small speakers it felt very fast and
accurate (not the tube or 15" element latency)

When changing sound patch the box shuts up for a second when used in
"preset mode" - which is horrible! But don't panic - you may run it in
a "dual channel mode" with two alternative guitar channels to jump
between that doesn't interrupt the sound (like preloading presets in
software equivalents to this product). A third mode called "warped
channel" you may blend these the two guitar channels into one sound.

It has a guitar mono input, a dual tele jack stereo line level input
and an XLR mic input with trim pot and phantom power that can not be
turned off. If adding a vox mic to the guitar you may mix the vox
channel separately to add specific effects other then the guitar
patch's. You may mix the output as well and use dual stereo outputs
for the guitar, like no speaker sim on the output where you connect a
monitor speaker for hour on-stage personal listening but use speaker
sim for the output that is targeting the PA system.

Oh, it works as a MIDI interface too! If hauling an USB cable to a
computer you can plug a MIDI keyboard into the GNX's MIDI IN port to
play MIDI synths in the computer. This of cours works with any other
piece of gear that supports USB MIDI input, not just computers.
