This will reduce the risk of unexpected behaviour by a great deal 
(you'll be the judge whether that's a plus or not...).

However (again sticking with the Möbius concept), there's basically two 
ways to do it:
1. One loop is recorded before the next loop starts recording (which, 
requires the initial loop to be recorded an then play once before you 
can record the other loops), or
2. The recording of the loops on all tracks that "go first" have to be 
controlled from one source (which means they have to be the same length).
