download for free the latest ping things net label releases:
1 -> "Quadra Station" by Lorne David Thomson
many of you will remember from 2009's "Swimming Alone" ping things
net release. His latest, "Quadra Station" is a collection of songs that
presents a hopeful and optimistic view of the stars, a retro journey
that takes us back to a time where wonder and excitement about
space travel abounds. Incorporating actual samples from the NASA
archives, "Quadra Station" is a fabulous release, from the thick analog
sounds of the eponymous opening track, through the Eastern
instrumentation of "The Technician's Dream", the hypnotic pulse
and twinkling stars of "Sleeping in the LEM", the steady beat-driven
movement of "Apollo 8", to the grandeur of album closer
"A Free Trip Home".
"Quadra Station" is available for free download as an 105Mb Zip file
containing the full release in high quality 256kbps mp3 format along
with artwork suitable for printing. The music on this release is
copyright Lorne David Thomson 2010 and may not be used or

2 -> "River Heart" by Love Puppets
A collaborative project from Anne Sulikowski of Building Castles out of
Matchsticks and Matt David of -243, Love Puppets have released "River
Heart", a collection of five abstract tracks that assimilate thick drones,
pulsing tones, beautiful melody and robotic dreams all into one space
for central processing. Pop tunes for computer minds, love songs for
androids, beautiful binary musings for robots, this is music for cyborg
generations. Get ahead of the evolutionary curve and download it now,
your future self will thank you for it...
"River Heart" is available for free download as an 49Mb Zip file
containing the full release in mp3 format along with artwork suitable
for printing. The music on this release is copyright Love Puppets 2010
