is the weight man,that i want to avoid taking on the plane,the damn FCB1010 is heavy enough allready!

and since it draws only 10W im wondering if a simple adaptor will do.

Why not just get a step down converter? I use a step-up converter for my AC30s. But they also work in reverse--or at least many of them do. This one works great for my needs (converting AC30 juice to 240 Volts). I believe it's step up/step down.
