Re: M-9 looper issues
I have also been having quite rare problems with the M-9 looper, although
mine are not related to the use of expression pedals. Very occasionally,
I find that the most recent overdub sounds EXTREMELY distorted, as though
being played through a ring modulator. The older layers in the loop are
unaffected. This tends to occur more often when using longish loops (20
secs +), and especially after heavy use of the reverse button while in
overdub. However, it has also occurred at least once using a loop of only
a few seconds, when I only had 2 or 3 quiet layers running with no FX (ie,
no chance of any volume overloading). Line 6's answer was to reinstall
the firmware (v 2.01), which I did a few days ago. This initially seemed
to solve the problem, but I just had a recurrence. Line 6 have not yet
responded to my latest report of this.
I'd be keen to hear of any other similar tales of woe regarding the M9
looper.
