I've used 2 Roland Microcubes with pretty good results.
Another approach I've used in the past is a big, badass boombox (that's 4 'b's, I believe).
I haven't shopped for one of those recently, so I dont have a recommendation, but
one has to believe that there are some decent ones out there that might work for you.
