RE: iRig or Peavey

Hi Jim,

I've used an Irig; was good for messing around with Amplitude, plus you 
can use it for the other pedal/amp sims on the app store, but, I did find 
that when I hooked it up to an amp, or as part of an effects loop (I am 
using an app called everyday looper as a "visual master looper") there was 
a lot of distortion and noise as I think there was too much going through 
the Irig.

I bought an Alesis Protrack a while ago for a more professional sound and 
it works great. It's a little bit temperamental occasionally, and I 
haven't tested it with the Iphone 4 yet (currently using an iphone 3G); I 
"think" Apple have moved some of the Mic/Audio sensors from the bottom 
port to the headphone Jack on the Iphone 4.... but this is just info I 
have picked up from the web and haven't tested it properly yet. I think 
Alesis are brining out a new Protrack quite soon but don't know when.

There are loads of Youtube video's of people using the Protrack, check 
them out!

Anybody tried the audio interfaces such as the iRig or Peavey AmpKit LInk 
as well as Amplitude app for iPhone/iTouch?  Wondering about one for 
recording.  I have used the iTouch to feed samples into NinJam.  Saw 
couple of folks Randolf and Massimo use the iPhone for performance tools 
at Y2k as well as Eric use an iPad with a controller app.
