RE: Epic Octatrack Performance Sampler Teaser....

I found myself wondering how much this slick production would add to the price of the unit. As regards the tone of the piece, some music is inherently dystopian and agressive, black metal, and some hardcore dance styles for instance. The manufacturers have obviously missed a trick by alienating some of the members of this list.
I don't think I've ever enjoyed a demo like the ones you'd get with synthesisers, (you know, the one where you'd press a combination of buttons and some awful jazz fusion or keyboard rock would emenate from). It was always a matter of trying to look beyond the awful demos towards what I personally wanted to achieve.

Peace

I am happy to hear that it is irony.

i know my tone was more bitting than it usually is, but you will also notice that i included myself in the lot.
my point was not to be crass or call anybody brain dead but to awaken our critical sense, as a community. Of course the movie is well made, it is full of references, but what does it talk about? Why all the violence: brain pouring out of ears and such, threats of torture; what is the point... why do we accept this as mainstream movie content

Yeah, the music is not of the highest quality (was that better as far as veiling goes:-))

In fact, you made a big point, it really shows how off target the whole film really is: clever, flashy, well made, appealing in a morbid contemporary fashion, but bad music, no information and no real content.

By the way, I am sure this machine is going to be a great tool, once the bugs are ironed out, and once the software is pretty complete.

And my apologies for not making myself understood, I am not calling anyone here brain dead. Quite the contrary, I am trying to convey the following : ye who still have preserved your wits in the midst of all this misinformation, over-information and noise, don't you think this film is offending your intelligence and dulling your empathy...

Its irony mate... The fact that it references at least 6 different films maybe more... Its beatifully shot, very well made, thats what i mean by Nice btw, (my day job is being a filmaker) i didn't say i loved it or anything. It was a critical post...I merely wondered where people on the list got they're info.

Infact, probably my biggest critisism would be that for a music machine that they are claiming is so revolutionary, how come the music sucks, Ive only heard some 3rd rate big beat done on it. Maybe it is that crap? But we dont know do we? No specs!!

On this this list Antony its more normal practice to veil ones insults in clever layers of subtlty. Try and avoid calling me braindead straight out , save the crassness for youTube...

I find the whole tone of it ridiculous. We are now so zombied out by these hyped, aggressive, pseudo spy, shoot em down, breake'm, "movies3, that we find it normal that a machine made for music shold be portrayed as dangerous and treacherous weapon. This is supposed to be funny, we should get off on it?
It shows how much brain damage has been done to us: people on this list who are usually pretty witty  and exercise their sense of humor look at this clip half seriously and find it OK, aside from the fact that the clip says nothing about speccs.

hey wake up, this movie is boring and silly
