I threw my shoes at Bush a few years ago, so now I loop barefoot... ;-)

Seriously though...my Doc Martens shoes with a softer, non-lug sole work 
nicely; also have a pair of Puma "French" that are relatively flat and 
responsive. And of course, in the home...barefoot, with big toe extended.
