What I said is true but I don't want to give the impression that there is no thought given to what I want gear to do. I read reviews and watch the vids, hang out at forums and such leading up to the purchase of new gear...well except when I am afflicted with bad GAS in the middle of the night and just go wow I gotta have one of those! So I usually have an idea of what said gear will do. I am not always happy with it and have returned quite a bit of gear that wouldn't do right for me. With the Time Bender the main reason givento me by people that didn't like it is that it won't sound or do things like (insert pds delay/Vortex), etc, etc. I was looking for something different so that may be why I wasn't disappointed. It makes a nice addition in my arsenal. Even if I don't use it all the time it remains a keeper for me.
