I'll forward this on to Bob.

But part of the problem, as always exists when one makes a commitment to
releasing a product
for public consumption is that you have to invest a lot of money to have
things like
cases manufactured and painted.

Can you imagine Roland, which continually releases products with
irritating lack of features,
being responsive to a thread on this list by someone who says, "It's
unfortunate that
such and such a feature doesn't exist on this product. Why don't you
change it"

It's a done deal once they've committed to releasing something and
everyone has to sit
around for two or three years until the next thing comes out and pray
that they listened to their users.

In the case of the LP-2, Bob's been working hard on this for the last
year and a half:
the cases are finished, the feature set is already silkscreened on the
cases and we have a solid
release date to get them into the hands of anyone who likes the machine.

It just may not be feasible, financially, to be able to incorporate this
request, no matter how
cool it is. Bob is a single person company.
He has to juggle a full time job, a large family with all of the work that
it takes to design the loopers he makes. He doesn't have deep pockets
for this project.
Quite the contrary. At this point it would probably take hundreds of
dollars
if not thousands, to incorporate this idea and delay the release of the
unit another few months
(it takes forever to get cases manufactured and painted, trust me on
this one). It probably
won't be economically feasible to do it as it's just a little late in
the game to
have the suggestion come up as good as it is.

If it's a make or break deal for Luis, then I understand and support
him not
to buy it, but there is a huge probability that it's just too late in
the game to make a change
like this, despite, the ease of changing the software.

Does it do everything? No, but nothing does everything, especially
in this price range.
I still think it's pretty cool for the price.

And I'll forward this idea onto Bob. There are a couple of features that
could be easily dispensed with
to make room for it. I just want people to be realistic about the
chances of
it's occurring.
