you can use DPA miniature mics for ambiance (omni 4060 or 4061 enventually with dedicate DPA miniature preamp), they are relatively cheap for the quality.

If you're signal is going through your looping rig
then *that* is going to impact on audio quality.
This *may* mean that using a studio won't make a lot of difference.

Using the natural reverb of a church for looping needs
some pretty good monitor speakers. (*good* being
your subjective preference).
...and at least 2 more microphones with pre-amps to
get the ambience.
