...hmmmm...

UnO chip,as soon as i replaced it all the problems were gone and ive
been more than happy with it ever since.
...i had upgraded my (bought used) FCB1010 a couple of years ago with the UnO 1.0.2f, but was never able to get it to work as i wanted it to...
...after reading this thread i have spent the better part of this day trying again to get the FCB to work...followed every step carefully in all concerned manuals, installed the Ripwerx on a Win-machine after i couldnt get it to work on a Mac at all etc. etc....
...all this to find that it seems that the 'memory' of my FCB is damaged: it does not remember a setting when switched off, and i cannot configure it from the Ripwerx, only using the FCB itself...but then again, when switched off all configuration is gone and some 'random' configuration is set, that i can read via the Ripwerx, and that is different every time i read it...
...my question now: is the memory physically different from the UnO-chip? - if yes, can it be replaced? - how could i identify the memory-chip and where can i get a replacement? - is it worth it?...i'll try to find answers in the documentation, but perhaps someone could help out and answer some of the questions already?...
...as i have bought the thing used a couple of years ago it may well be that it was sold back then because of this error, that i could not identify back then...
TIA.
