. Cymbl is Rich Baker on drums. He first performed at the PiNG in
an impromptu 1999 performance when ARC formed at the PiNG
and has gone on to release over 20 records. Lorde Awesome’s
Avery Strok on keyboards and Rich Vainio on guitars have been
playing together since 2008. This is not their first collaboration,
but it is their PiNG debut.
. FSK1138 . Donald Baynes AKA FSK1138 will be coming in from
Montreal for his first PiNG outing. FSK1138 has performed at Mutek
and nuit blanche in Montreal and will be bringing along some unique
musical toys like kinect and emotive brain interface stuff along with
launchpads, a tablet pc, iPad and projector. He also works with a
korg monotron, dsixl, ds10 - KP3, datagloves, wii mote and robots.

. 8:00 . luminations . The big screen debut of "luminations,"
an hour long film of projected light and ambient electronic music
by GENERAL CHAOS VISUALS and URM. This unique film features
the multi-layered projected translucent light paintings of Stephen
Lindsey (GENERAL CHAOS VISUALS) which were created to
accompany a musical soundtrack of soundscapes and electronic
music created by Jamie Todd (URM.)

"Tenkan" by Lorne David Thomson
ping things is very pleased to welcome back Lorne David Thomson
for his third ping things net release "Tenkan". Featuring eight new
instrumental pieces, "Tenkan" continues the musical journey begun
in Thomson's earlier releases for ping things, "Swimming Alone" and
"Quadra Station". Pulsing synths pair with organic melodies and
hypnotizing rhythms, minimal tones drift and float through the
soundfield, and long sweeping pads arch and bend to add to the
spatial dynamic. Another wonderful album from Lorne David
Thomson that ping things is happy to be able to share with you.
"Tenkan" is available for free download as an 113Mb Zip file
containing the full release in mp3 format along with artwork
