No doubts, that's kind of what that thing was designed for! But I didn't know the the Octatrack allows you to set pitch glissando - that's cool! With the Repeater the glissandi just happened because its CPU was constantly lagging behind in calculations . LOL!!! But it sounded cool. I'd like to note too that these techniques can be used on a laptop looping system as well; especially if using Augustus Loop because this one has the parameter named "Inertia" that causes glissando when you play the loops speed/pitch by external MIDI notes (MIDI guitar, EWI, keyboard, seqyencer or whatever...). If looping in Mobius this is also possible but you can't have glissando between the notes in the pattern. However, I kind of like the rough'n'glitchy sound of that too. A related software plugin is the StutterEdit, designed by BT and distributed by http://izotope.com/. I've recently started to use StutterEdit after the looper in the signal chain and it amazes me with almost no detectable extra CPU usage on my machine. One exciting idea I have for StutterEdit is to load it with my own scripts that does tonal warping rather than that typical "glitched drum beat thing" we have heard for a decade now. Not sure if that is possible yet though and my researching time is kind of limited so this is a long time project. Per
