Probably heat related. Run it with the top cover off, see if that helps. If not, touch the chips with your fingers to see if any are heating up. Might as well reseat the chips before all that.

First thing to do would be to check the internal connections and re-seat the chips.

It would have been checked at the factory, so it's likely
that something worked loose in transit.
