I don't know these units but it sounds bad... cause everyone wants to be master!

A desperate trick that has worked before is free-running sync.  Modern digital clocks are very accurate, as long as Logic can respond to MIDI start/stop and your tempos are precisely the same, your two clocks should run very close for a long time.

I blame all your gear and programs, and Logic most of all.  Every device should be able to run as a slave, but a sequencer particularly.
