Another way to look at it is that the 'Rang has 11 functions that can be assigned to buttons. With the side car you have 8 "bonus button" slots and 3 dedicated buttons. I'm figuring that I'll have access to all the 'Rang's functions once the sidecar is hooked up. Speaking of which, my local guy told me that Mike included a MIDI cable in the box for connecting the 'Rang and the sidecar. Nice! I'll be heading up to the shop to pick mine up sometime in the next few days. Very psyched. Somebody mentioned earlier about using an M13 and the 'Rang together. I've been having a blast feeding my M9 into my 'Rang. It's a wonderland of loopy multi-effected fun. -----Original Message----- From: Brian Carabee [mailto:compguy2@comcast.net] Sent: Tuesday, August 02, 2011 10:05 AM To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com Subject: Re: Boomerang with Sidecar I haven't received it yet. Mike sent it out yesterday (Monday). The way I see it, since there are a few dedicated buttons on the Sidecar, that frees up the original two bonus buttons on the main Rang unit, so that will give me at least 4 additional functions, if not more. On the Sidecar, you have: B1) Stack/Momentary Stack (Dedicated) B2) Play/Stop All (Dedicated) B3) Erase/Erase All (Dedicated) Bonus 1,2,3 and 4 (Capable of Once, Octave, Reverse, Thru Mute, Play Style, Fade, Panic, Copy) And of course the original 4 bonus buttons are now freed up since Stack, Play/Stop and Erase/Erase All are all dedicated. I'll report back as soon as I receive it and try it out. It would have been nice to have an additional expression pedal jack-since you can control feedback and volume now . . . Gary
