Phils right, but there's a way to set it accurately by going into an EDP test mode on bootup. more info to follow, I'll have to look it up. (unless anyone else knows it) andy phillip wilson wrote:
yer i had it, not a biggie to fix......pop open the case, making sure you have got rid of any static on your self or your tools of course.....(and that power is off)look for a little trimmer ( plastic circle with a screw driver cross type thread , basically i did this through trial and error...move it a bit to the left.... stop working on the unit, poiwer it on with an instrument plugged in, see if the sound is more or less promounced...if more then move in the other direction by 10 degrees, try again...more or less...adjust by less and less degrees until it goes away. then replace the housing and thats it.usual dont kill yourself caveats apply. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Oct 2011 13:36:44 +0200 Subject: Echoplex plop noise From: atqsound@gmail.com To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com Hello, I am trying to fix my Oberheim Echoplex Digital Pro.Everytime I loop something with the echoplex there is a "plop" noise at the start/end of the loop. Even when there is no input and it's just recording silence. This happens as well when I overdub.I already checked this: - it happens both with LOOP IV and LOOP 3.3 - changing RAM didn't make a difference eitherI did some research on the web and found a comment of Matthias Grob to a user who had the same problem: /"If the blopp happens in other situations, too, it might be the DC aligning, a trimmer, easy to set"/Does anyone know what he's talking about? Any advice is welcome. Thanks and kind regards!
