Re: Loop a Hang?

Anybody (hello Mr. Looppool) tried looping this instrument?

From what I understand, the actual Hang drum is somewhat expensive and slightly difficult to get hold of (it's a handmade quality/boutique instrument, with a waiting list). Although I believe there are supposedly some other manufacturers who make instruments that are *almost* the same thing.

FWIW, there's a pretty decent Tonehammer sample library out for the Hang. I was using that library to build one of the tracks that I was going to submit last year for the LD Compilation IV. Then I realized the music I'd put together sounded like "HAPPY CALYPSO MUSIC, MON!' and I hated it. So I shelved that tune.

Would love to see what an accomplished percussionist like Mr. Walker could do with one of those, however.
