That's how I first used to do multiply, on the old Lex JamMan in delay 
mode.

Getting the taps accurate wasn't so much of a problem as the high 
probability
of clicks in the loop. (?not a problem in the DD20?)

It also worked in a different way all of it's own. After the first tap
the sound would continue in a single "cycle" with working feedback,
creating a real 'loops within loops' vibe.
