Not always. It's best if you configure Mobius to receive from the host. This isn't actually Mobius configuration, you configure the host to send MIDI to Mobius. It is also possible to have Mobius directly access the MIDI devices but depending on the host and the device drivers this can cause problems including crashes since both apps think they are in control of the device. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't so it's almost always best to let the host be in control. The only two exceptions to this rule are when you want Mobius to generate MIDI clocks to pipe back to the host, or if the host doesn't have a way to properly pass MIDI through to the plugins.
