There are two possibilities here. One is that the Note Off is not being received by Mobius which then treats it like a "long press" of Record which converts into a Reset. If you're seeing the record start for awhile then return to Reset mode that's probably it. If the record is starting and then stopping after awhile and then begins to play, it suggests that we're receiving doubled MIDI notes and that you are using Host Bar sync mode. This happens when you have Mobius opening a MIDI device on the right side of the "MIDI Devices" window and in addition you have the host configured to send MIDI notes from the same devices via the VST interface. Based on your "4 counts" description it is probably the second one. We're getting a doubled Record so the first one starts on the next host bar and the second one ends it on the bar after that. If you have any Plugin Input Devices selected in the Mobius MIDI Devices window, then make sure that an Ableton MIDI track is not also sending MIDI from the same devices into the track containing Mobius. Or alternately leave Ableton as it is and deselect the Plugin Input Device in Mobius. So thanks to Jeff's advice I got Mobius running in live and even managed to configure the layout of the FCB1010 for most functions. Every command I programmed worked EXCEPT, when I press the button bound to the record function, it goes into record for 4 counts and then stops. I've confirmed that the pedal is sending Note on and off with a value of 01. Apologies if I'm missing the obvious, it certainly wouldn't be the first time. I hope to get this figured out before I get annoying with these questions. Any pointers? Thanks, Kevin -- Till now you seriously considered yourself to be the body and to have a form.
