> Why would a mailing list thrive, even though it's part of a website > stuck in 2006? simply because the mailing list doesn't have to be maintained, it is run by the people who use it - whereas the website has to be worked on to reanimate it, it actually needs a complete redesign, and sadly, neither website founder Kim Flint who tragically died a while ago, nor his partner Violet who is now in charge of it ever felt like doing that. In the beginning, it was a useful and important website representing a large community of loopers, and we were all grateful that it was there, but by keeping the site for themselves instead of opening it up, for reasons nobody really understands, the site owners effectively killed it. -Michael
