hell no. can you imagine how tired your arms would get? and where's the tactile feedback? all these new interfaces - wavy hand things and touch screens - offer no feedback whatsoever! the human hand is an incredible device, able to manipulate objects with an amazing variety of weights, densities and sizes and it's covered in sensors....temperature, texture, mass, stickyness etc etc...and yet none of these interfaces take advantage of that. imagine controlling something with an object like a spongy ball, that was able to change it's surface texture and temperature to give you feedback about the virtual objects or software that you were literally "manipulating" with your hand. that's where the future is.
