Hi Art, Yes I been using use Synthedit. If you're programmer, you'll pick it up in no time. It's great fun!

And Gareth, that's a super generous offer. How do you create VSTs, do you use SynthEdit? As a (hack) programmer I'd be a little ashamed to have someone write me custom software.

Art, if this is preventing you from creating the sounds you want, I'll can probably make you one. Get in touch off-list if you're interested and let me know exactly what you'd like. I've been thinking of doing boutique VST's for artists for a while and this could be a useful exercise..

Hi Gareth & Per,
I'm PC based, and I just went through the process of upgrading to 64 bit Windows. What a pain! As an aside, that's another big advantage for MacOS that you don't have to choose to install 32 bit or 64 bit.
I haven't tried the PSP42 with Ableton, so I haven't seen the bug Per mentioned. In fact I haven't used PSP42 in a while. As I upgrade or reinstall Windows, I find I don't have the patience to reauthorize all my copy protected VSTs. The paid apps that I really use are Ableton, EnergyXT, Stylus RMX and Trillian. Everything else I use is freeware, which is still an advantage of PCs. I looked for a freeware delay where you could crank the speed up and down like you can on the PDS8000, but I didn't find one.
