Re: reissue the pds8000 (or a better delay based looper)-FOLLOWUP from DIGITECH

basically the same unit-yes-more tweakability on the rack mount-w/ pots for dry and wet-plus a pot to choose-loop length-or as they call it-'delay range'. still has the 2 to 8 second range and the variable 'delay time'-usable on the fly or once you have a loop locked in.

Just a question: the PDS-8000 and the rack-mount RDS-8000 are basically the same beast?

Right! The Boss DD 20 is a great delay w/23 secs and a good way to "hold" but it has none of the other delay mangling abilities of the pds 8000.

The fact is that we are an extreme nitch in the world of corporate looping tools design so why would they put money into it? We are the 1% of looping, occupy Digitech!

Don't reissue the damn thing, digitech, reinvent it.  A pds based machine with tap tempo or 'first loop' length setting and a longer delay time would be a terribly fun box.

Scott,

Thanks for your comments. Some of the chips in the PDS 8000 are no longer manufactured, which makes a re-issue difficult and costly. Have you tried our JamMan Delay?
