Hi Phil, There's an alternative way of using controller clips in Live that I've had more success with than using the Clip Envelop function. That is to simply load a MIDI clip with the MIDI event needed for the looper plugin to perform a certain task. Then set up a MIDI signal route to pipe that clip's content into the plugin; I've found the Mac system's IAC Bus good for that (system built-in MIDI path - for Widows there's a hack called MIDI-OX that sets up a similar thing). Finally, if the looper function you are targeting works with the Looper's quantization you must make sure that the MIDI Control Clips in Live are not quantized in Live; if they are the MIDI event might arrive late to the Looper plugin. Looping musicians typically develop the habit of kicking a pedal a few milliseconds early for such quantized commands.
