No, Zookster, it's not just you... they really DO suck. Gigs are too hard to come by to have them ruined by the snap, crackle, and pop of George L cables et al.

I haven't tried the pre-made cables, but I don't like the solderless kits at all.  I cabled a rig with them, but as time went on they failed one after another --  maybe it was "just me"; others whom I respect praise them . . .

anyone have experience with George L pre-made cables? or even the solderless home kits?
