For me, as a music fan, if I searched for artists like Robert Fripp (loop based) and Ry Cooder (atmospheric roots guitar), and I found Bill Walker, I'd be very happy. David Torn and Bill Brozman are good combination, too. Tough to say what the correct "search words" are. I think you should take that as a complement Bill Walker.
