Re: Footswitch for Memory Man with Hazarai?

Matt,

sorry I can't help you with a qualified "I have already done that" solution, but here's the direction I would be thinking in:

There's two things which are stupid with the thing, one that the button hurts on your face, the other that the record function does not latch.
Possible solution:
connect an external footswitch (of the kind which can be switched between momentary and latching) in parallel to the existing button.
This would require a simple solder job, and a hole in the housing (either leading the footswitch's cable through it, or installing an additional 1/4'' jack).

And I also have a question: do you have a video available which show how you play it with your face?

Yours,

Rainer

One of my loopers is a Memory Man with Hazarai. One of the only flaws
with the looper is that you have to be holding the record switch for
the entire duration that you're looping. As one of those musicians
that uses both hands to play an instrument, I don't often have a spare
hand, and have to hold the "record" button down with my face. (Yes.
True.)

Is there a resource for modding these pedals with a footswitch for the
record function, or maybe a button that doesn't hurt when one holds it
down with one's face?

(And yes, I know you can put it on the floor and use it as a foot
pedal, but then the controls for the other nice things it does aren't
foot-friendly.)
