If I can clear up a few misconceptions. Bob is currently redesigning the 
LP-1, moving away from Linux  .  he will also make the same   2.0 upgrade 
available for original LP-1's , He works on this bit by bit in between his 
very demanding Day job,and his family, stay tuned
