there is just no way to program the diamond button config at right to do next/prev loop along one axis and next/prev track along the other.
I'm Not sure I got what you're after here, but if the unit is sending messages from those button presses (I don't use them), then you can always repurpose those signals in Bidule, max4live, mobius script or whatever other software you're using.
Doesn't quite seem fair to dis the product for not doing something it wasn't designed to do... RTFM?
