which midi guitar controller?  I suspect your global pitchbend is set to chromatic and/or your vst's are on a default pitch wheel setting of + or - a whole step. I would set everything to 12 semitones or greater  if you plan on doing glissandos of more than an octave and turn off whatever chromatic setting is present. But then again what do I know? I haven't owned a guitar synthesizer in 3 years and haven't played one in about 7 years, so my knowledge is fuzzy at best and based on roland gr architecture
