echoplex acts weird / aging components?

Hi Echoplex users, 
mine starts acting weird after hours of being powered on 
- the display shows ooo and the unti stops functioning. 
Turning it off and on 5 mins later restores normnal behaviour. 

However i assume it might be aging components, like electrolytic 
capacitors and alike - is there anything known about that?
