Don't know about the vinyl's status in the US but got some related information to share: I sold some CDs at indoors venue gigs in USA back in October. But I do sell more CDs here in Stockholm when playing out as a street busker... but the interesting thing is that many of my in the street CD buyers are from other countries; like Russia, Holland, Germany, France and a bunch of asian countries (except for the Chinese, they rarely buy CDs).
