. 8:30 . iderdown is a Toronto based electronic artist who uses
noise and melody to create danceable soundscapes. Mixing live
instrumentation/synthesis and sequencing, his live sets create

. 9:30 . naw is the alter ego of Neil Wiernik, Montreal ex-pat who
now calls Toronto home. He began composing electronic music in
the late 80s with explorations in audio art and experimental music.
Neil's interest in sound and technology has lead him to a continued
questioning and refinement of audio tools and modes of production
resulting in experimentation with altered instruments, modified
devices, and custom software environments. Neil's music could
be described as warm, atmospheric, and cinematic electronic music.
The sound design of naw is firmly grounded in the rich traditions of
dub studio culture but can also be weighed alongside formal
contemporary composition. His music was recently described in
"The Wire" as having "...the kind of sharpness and clarity usually
lost amid the murk and decay of clicks and cuts and digital delays."
naw is Post Dub Minimalism. naw has released music on various
labels including noise factory, paperplussound, pertin-nce,
feedbackloop, blrr, consouling and elevation recordings as a
solo artist; under his own name or using various pseudonyms,
such as naw, as well as part of various band projects.

Jesse Frank Matthews. Sampling sounds from the sonic
ether, and recycling memories and matter into new shapes
before stitching them back together. Crafting the music with
a simple sampler, an overactive imagination and a curiosity
in juxtaposition. Part plunderphonic, and part psychedelic-the
pieces of the puzzle sometimes fit and sometimes they don't.
With JFM the ride is as important as the destination, music
belongs to everyone and has no fixed address. The door

URM + General Chaos Visuals - LiVE PiNG 2014 11 25
A little something to bring a bit of the PiNG to a screen
near you - a full length HD video of the URM set with
General Chaos Visuals from the November 2014 PiNG.
In the video, URM performs ambient electronic soundscapes and
sequencer driven Berlin School electronics to the light painting
projections of General Chaos Visuals live at the PiNG in Toronto's
Array Space. All music was generated in real time utilizing a
virtual studio of synthesizers, effect units and step sequencers.
Light paintings were also projected and created in real time
utilizing hand painted gels and analog projectors.
As the show was captured with a single camera there's a lot
of chaotic compositing of the Chaos Visuals and light paintings
which makes it a very psychedelic experience - like a concert
being held inside a lava lamp.
