. 9:00 . sLAB . sLAB is a group who use musical instruments
to create sound together, but they do not play music, exactly.
What they do is craft immersive sound sculptures that their
listeners live in for a little while. Situated around the perimeter
of the room, the four musicians improvise sounds in strange
harmony, exploring the uses of microtonal combinations and
acoustic beats. Their tools are electric guitars and basses,
played with electromagnetic devices that excite the strings to
create very long notes. Each set lasts around 30-45 minutes,
and each one is different. sLAB has released several recordings,

. 10:00 . TOM PRICE . Tom Price finds inspiration in a diverse range
of influences, such as Autechre, J.S. Bach, Morton Feldman, and
mbira music. His music explores the possibilities of tuning systems
outside of 12 tone equal temperament. He will be doing synth
keyboard improvisations over shifting drones and pad sounds."

. 10:45 . NORTHUMBRIA . Toronto based ambient metal duo
Northumbria was formed in 2011 by former Holoscene members
Jim Field and Dorian Williamson. Using only guitar and bass
mega amplified and recorded live, Northumbria create a wall
of improvised drones that take the listener on a sonic journey
through a dystopian landscape. In March of 2015 Northumbria
released "Helluland", their debut album for Swedish dark
ambient label Cryo Chamber.
