Re: Hardware loopers with the ability to have free-running (unsynched) loops?

In my work I like to create undulating textures and incidental phrases, rather than regimented lockstep parts..

Good question, but I’m curious as to why. The boss rc 300 gives you three, almost endless, unsynced loops. What are you after?

Thanks John,

I discovered the Boomerang III seconds after posting, it looks very promising, except no panning control for each loop, nor individual pitch, but so far the best one I’ve seen.

I’ll look into the Pixtronix.

The Boomerang III will do this & I'm pretty sure the Pigtronix Infinity can too.

I am looking for a list of hardware loopers with the ability to have free-running (unsynched) loops..

Apart from the two I am aware of:

Boss RC-300

Electro Harmonix 22500 looper

TC Ditto x4, though the second loop’s length will always end in multiples of the 1st loop

..are there any other hardware loopers that allow loops of arbitrary lengths to run simultaneously?

The ability to change the playback speed a definite plus.
