What began as banter in the chat of a recent Ambient Ping event on Twitch, morphed in to an unexpected collaboration between Mikrosleep and Shimmer Crush. The former dubbed himself pantslessparandroid while the latter adopted Laughing Drone, both names unfolding rather organically from those casual comments in the chat and inspiring what came next. A seasoned musician with a large oeuvre and body of experience, Mikrosleep paved the way as the collaboration unfolded, providing Shimmer Crush a direction to start from in what is her first music writing collaboration. Those loose guidelines fed one off of the other and a truly experimental blending of sound emerged. We are pleased to introduce pantslessparandroid vs Laughing Drone. .. Mikrosleep is an audio project which explores aperiodic things periodically to hypnotically invoke the transition into phenomenological awarenesses of consciousness. Carrie Eliza). This track, which was released on the Seeing Things compilation from Crime League, marked the first time Shimmer Crush has worked with a vocalist. The otherworldly vocals provided by Carrie Eliza inspired a desire to emphasize the song with complimentary visuals and this new video is the manifestation of that.
