Re: Cutting Time

Actually, Trim in Mobius is not the same, as far as i can tell.

Trim Start will remove that portion of the loop from the loop’s beginning to your switch press; Trim End will remove that portion of the loop from your switch press to the end of the loop.

What I am looking to do is to simply take a bite out of any random middle portion of a loop.

Consider a quantized Stutter. This will increase the length of the overall loop by repeating the content in that sub cycle where i press the switch.

What if we could do the opposite? Press the switch and *remove* that sub cycle from the overall loop, shortening the loop by that sybcycle’s length.

Consider a SUS Insert - it will lengthen the loop by whatever arbitrary amount of time the switch is held down…

What if we could do the opposite? a SUS Remove: just removing whatever arbitrary part of the loop where the switch is down.

That is the function I am seeking :) :)

Is there no way to do the opposite: to "Remove" time from a loop?

Sure, that's what Trim is for in Mobius land.  I use it all the time to make two loops slightly out of phase.
