The Boomerang III can do this by setting DECAY to the maximum and setting 
STACK to its momentary option. In the Serial and Serial-Sync styles you 
simply press the STACK button while a loop is playing and hold it for as 
long as you want to replace. The Sync and Free styles require a loop 
selection press after pressing any function so they don't lend themselves 
to a momentary stacking but even this is viable if the loops are long and 
the replace sections are spaced far enough apart for the additional button 
presses required. You can have two parallel loops in the Serial styles 
though by using the Master loop (loop 3) for your first loop (Serial-Sync).
