For what it's worth, go rent the wonderful documentary called "FEEL the SOUND"
about the collaboration between avant garde musician, Fred Frith and
the world famous completely deaf orchestral percussionist Evelyn Glennie.

It's a beautiful meditation on what music is with some amazing revelations in it.

It was enobling to watch it for me.
