 Many of my 'evolving' loopscapes seem to be based on real hummers! They 
prompt
me to change key. As the duff notes mostly seem to be a semitone out, my
textures tend to take on an Eastern feel. 
Incidentally, as a synth player, I tend to control Fc on the mod wheel or 
key
velocity, making for some nice scapes.
