I co-run an underground cinema club here in London and I like playing on 
those
nights 'cos it allows me to play right across my very promiscuous taste in 
music:
some film scores or Ferrante and Teicher early evening; some 'king hell, 
what was
that, noise mid evening; and some jump up and techstep after the films 
have done.
With film-making and music-making there are two basic techniques: the loop 
and the
cut. A mixer allows you to do both.
