I own an HR-16 (and love the piss out of it - not a pretty sight). There 
are
no factory presets - no preset patterns at all. It's a big blank canvas. 
The
only "presets" are a blank 8-beat "measure" and a stick click for time
reference when in "record" mode. When these begin to appear on the used
market for under $100, as I suspect they will, I'm going to buy them all up
and chain them together... and rule the world!
