I spent 3 years gradually customizing my BOSS DR-550 drum machine. I had 
most of
the "drum sets" programmed to sounds that I like to use, and I made a 
bunch of
rhythms that were just waiting for the right song---until my roommate 
borrowed
the machine and initialized all of the settings. I told him it was okay 
and then
went to my room and wept softly.
