Subject: a dumb PC question

Hi gang. To ring in the new year, I want to submit an early entry for the
year's stupidest question. Here goes:

When I'm playing a CD on my computer (PC), how can I save its contents
(i.e.
the music) as a sound file on the hard drive? Seriously, I can't figure it
out!

Thanks.

Peter
