> the dl4 is about 5000% more versatile than the dd5. the dd5 doesn't even >come close. =-) While I agree taht the DL4 is the more versitle delay it does not have the one simple feature theboss Dl5 does and that's a simple delay that you can switch to be an infinte loops *FROM DELAY MODE*. This is an importnat distinction because the DL4 has a looper and has tons of delays and parameters byt n'er the two shall meet. The basic digitech PDS series has this on a separate footswitch and the Boss stomps have a setting to jump from delaying to looping but the DL4 is either a looper (with some minor pre delay features) or a full blown delay without infinite repeat. I believe the original question was aksing about the two pedals in question and this is the only real important distinction. If a potential buyer reading this does know what I'm tlaking about above then you'd probably be more than happy with the DL4 over the Boss. If an delay-> infinite loop feature is absoutley necessary for you then youreally need to try the two pedals out in persons (perhaps next to a digitech PDS1002 or something) and see for yourself which fits your needs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- HELP WANTED PRODUCTIONS - Http://www.voicenet.com/~legion "Bringing you the best in Organic Electronic music since we started..."
